From August of 1994 to May of 1998
Dr. Richard Braley was an Assistant Professor of Safety at the University of Central
Oklahoma in Edmond,
Oklahoma. From August of 1995 to May of 1996, Dr. Braley
performed a funded research activity into Violence. Some of the
information he obtained is given on the pages below.
No one in the world should have to
be beaten, whipped, bludgeoned, abused or forced to submit to cruel or

These pages are designed to enhance the comprehension of how to manage
conflict so that the probability of a violent episode is appropriately
reduced. Managing conflict is difficult, but what did you
expect? All
the easy stuff has been done by someone else.
Many of these notes were sent to me in the form of sets of overhead
transparency masters. No indication was given as to who created
them . Although I would like to take credit for all of these
ideas, I cannot. The portions I have added were included to
clarify and enhance already excellent presentations.
